I am typically not a political writer. I write on Christian apologetics and do my best to assist people in their understanding of their Christian faith and how to best defend it. However, since the political scene is rather active with the Presidential debates and the Presidential election taking place within one month, I thought it might be a good idea to touch on how Christians should approach politics while being loyal to their Christian worldview.
Christians watching mainstream media are not receiving a Biblical outlook on politics. They are receiving a secular outlook on politics which is highly contradictory to Christian values a majority of the time. I would be extremely discretionary as a Christian when watching these popular media news outlets. I recommend thoroughly investigating what you hear on these news outlets in order to make an educated opinion based upon facts. It is unwise for anyone to wholeheartedly trust what they hear on the news without properly investigating the matter to double-check the validity of what they’ve heard. While I have media news outlets that I’ve come to trust, I didn’t trust them blindly. I’ve developed trust in these media outlets based upon double-checking their work and consistently finding their work to have integrity and credibility.
